SC Biz News publishes both regional and statewide business reports that serve senior level decision-makers across South Carolina. The announcement was made during the publisher’s first annual Roaring 20s event held last week to honor the state’s top 20 high-growth companies. For-profit companies headquartered in South Carolina were chosen and ranked according to growth and revenue. Company size was determined by gross revenue —small, $10 million and under; and large, more than $10 million.  

Marabu North America qualified for the recognition as a small company with revenues of at least $500,000 each year for 2009, 2010 and 2011. SC Biz News said that this formula leveled the playing field between smaller and larger companies within both the small and large category. Points were awarded according to dollar and percentage increases in revenue generated from South Carolina operations from 2010 to 2011.
